The globalised and knowledge economy is increasingly based on exploiting knowledge and innovation. Most organizations today understand the importance of value creation by incorporating knowledge and innovation into their products and services. In their pursuit of knowledge excellence, organizations are, and always will be, as valuable as their knowledge and ideas and, most critically, their ability to transform their knowledge and ideas into valuable and successful competencies, products and services.

The annual KM Singapore is an event you don’t want to miss.  It is organized for you and your KM stake-holders in your organization.  Do take advantage of the discounts:

    a.    Early-Bird Discount:  Deadline extended to 27 Aug 10.

    b.    IKMS Membership:  it makes economic sense to become IKMS member, either corporate or individual, for additional discount and benefit you can get.

    c.    Group Discount for Organization:  an additional 15% discount for group of 5 or more participants from same organization registered for conference

Organised by iKMS, KM Singapore is an annual event which aims to bring together the KM community in Singapore - KM practitioners and partners from the public and private sectors - to interact and learn about the latest KM developments in Singapore and beyond.

This year, KM Singapore 2010 conference and workshops will be held on 16-17 September at The Legend @Fort Canning Park. A pre-conference Master-Class will be held on 15 September.

Do find more updates on this KMSG website, including discounts for group and early bird registration.

iKMS members present during the iKMS AGM 2010 on Saturday, 27 Feb 2010 from 9am -1pm, were treated to a fun-filled and enriching programme, packed with sharing and exchange of ideas and strategies for the development of iKMS. The iKMS Visioning Exercise provided the platform for participating members to reflect on iKMS milestones, brainstorm and suggest very interesting ideas to bring iKMS to greater heights, in a fun and relaxing manner. It was heart-warming to observe members, both new and old, sharing their ideas happily in a friendly environment.

Mr Tim Wieringa, our invited guest speaker from Hochim, a multi-national player in the international cement industry based in Switzerland, also shared on the iShare - a Knowledge Library linking 53 countries worldwide. Mr Wieringa gave members’ insights into his company’s experience of developing and implementing this system, including ‘behind-the-scenes’ useful experiences which members can benefit from.

During the AGM, the meeting then deliberated on issues related to the iKMS website project including the work of the project team on sourcing for cost-effective technology to manage iKMS content effectively, especially on migrating the content from the old website.

The members also discussed on the relevance and the development of SIGs as the next possible growth potential to add value to our members. The members agreed that the sustenance of any SIGs is greatly dependent on leadership and members’ passion on the topic.

The President of iKMS, Mr Ng Kok Chuan, then took centre stage with his report on iKMS achievements and current state of events including increased membership, launch of the KM Excellence award and healthy budget surplus largely due to the success of KM Singapore 2009. Mr Ng highlighted that the corporate membership has increased from 15 to 25 over the last one year.

Mr Ng then outlined the iKMS workplan for 2010 highlighting the exploration of these new projects :

iKMS Visioning (for next phase of journey)

    • KM Framework in support of business excellence

Intranet Summit as an event to bring together practitioners and architects of Organisation Intranet

Catch a glimpse of these exciting AGM moments and actions through the photos which have been deftly captured by Mr Mohamad Bismillah posted on this site:
